Party: Slow Magic

"Slow Magic은 모르는 상상의 친구가 만들어낸 사운드", 미스터리어스한 프로듀서의 희귀하게 들리는 이야기지만, 그 바이오그래피에는 엄청나게 어울리는 문구이다.
아티스트로 조금 알려지고, 어느 지역 출신인지 정보도 없으며, 우리가 본명과 심지어 얼굴 조차 모르는 그는 현재 그의 아이코닉한 마스크 뒤에 감추어져 있다. 우리는 Slow Magic이 샘플을 기가막히게 잘 뽑아내며, 그것들을 잘 배치하고, 그것은 또한 도취적인 신스음을 통해 빠져나오고, 그것은 한번더 경이롭고 미묘하게 아름다운 피아노 루프와 잘 엮인다는 것이다.
2012년 비평가들이 감탄하고 많은 사랑을 받았던 Triangle 앨범의 발표후, Slow Magic은 국제적인 움직임을 보였으며, Gold Panda와 XXYYXX 같은 아티스트와 투어 및 리믹스활동을 했다. 지난해 Slow Magic은 두번째 앨범, 음악의 조각으로 밖으로부터 노래를 만들고, 랜덤 샘플을 잘 8템포 “How to Run away”를 발표했다.
Cakeshop의 2015년의 첫번째 Thursday club을 Slow Magic으로 시작하게 되어 자랑스럽게 생각하는 바이다.

“Slow Magic is the sound made by an unknown imaginary friend,” reads the mysterious producer’s sparse, yet incredibly fitting biography.
Little is known of the artist, not the country of origin, real name, or even face, as he is hidden by his now iconic mask. We do know Slow Magic expertly chops up samples, juxtaposes them with long, euphorically drawn out synths and intertwines it all with wondrous, delicately beautiful piano loops.
After the release of 2012’s beloved and critically-acclaimed Triangle, Slow Magic became an international movement, touring with and remixing artists like Gold Panda and XXYYXX. Last year Slow Magic released his sophomore album, “How to Run away” perfecting the mid tempo, while forming songs out of shards of music and twisting random samples into hooks.
Proud to present our first Thursday club of 2015, Slow Magic on his first visit to Korea.
