Norwegian punk band Honningbarna are about to embark on a world tour, starting in London on January 10th. The end of the tour is yet unknown. Today we announce the first 66 shows taking the band trough most of Scandinavia, Europe, UK and Cuba. More dates to come early 2015.
Honningbarna will also release their third album January 30th. The album “Opp de nye blanke” (“Up the new blank”) is clocking in at about 15 minutes, and is their fastest and most energetic release to date.
On the new album Honningbarna take on the bombardment of information in everyday life, and the noise it creates. It is hard to tell the difference between fact and fiction, journalism and advertisement, good or bad, when the information you receive in your daily life is funny cats eating birthday cakes, your friends dinner, or awful motivational pictures.
On this latest adventure, Honningbarna go D.I.Y, Not only do they release the record on their new label “Nye Blanke”, but they also launch their first videogame. On this game you play against a new track called “Støy støy overalt” (“Noise, Noise Everywhere”), The longer you stay in the game, the more you get to listen, The downside is that you need to dodge the noise. If you survive you get the track to keep!
