Join us for Jazz is the New Punk, an evening of musical adventure featuring local jazz-punks Dark Blue World, The Inhabitants, and JP Carter.

The misfits and malcontents in Dark Blue World channel a diverse range of influences including Charles Mingus, The Fall, Bob Dylan, Gang of Four, Tom Waits, and obscure Hungarian village music. Combining eclectic tastes with visceral passion, the band has been likened to “German cabaret played by King Crimson” and almost everything in between, baffling listeners with their eccentric take on classic rock and roll. It takes a special gift to make the dark enchanting, and Dark Blue World do it brilliantly.

About the Fox Cabaret
Located in the heart of Mt. Pleasant, The Fox Cabaret is a nightclub and performance space which provides a platform for the best of independent culture Vancouver. An almost 40-year-neighborhood fixture, the Fox has been home to a cult cinema, an indian movie house and was the last 35mm adult theatre in North America.
