One of the hottest tickets of this Autumn is Christine Tobin's short UK tour, and we're delighted to have booked her for Scarborough.
Highly acclaimed by critics and fans alike [MOJO Magazine, The Guardian, BBC Music Magazine...], Christine sings a wide range of material, not least her raptously received 2014 album interpreting the songs of Leonard Cohen.
One of those rare singers who transcends genres, fans of folk, blues and acoustic will appreciate her warm golden voice and unique musical sensibility. This is opportunity to see her in the intimate setting of the Cask club backed by husband Phil Robson on guitar and Dave Whitford on double bass.
Music begins at 8.45pm but please arrive earlier if you want to get a seat down the front.
£8 on the door (£7 in advance)

"...that most elusive of balances between familiarity and strangeness, by turns recalling Tom Waits, Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell, without being beholden to any particular genre or influence...”
The Irish Times ****
"Sexy, gutsy, bluesy and beautiful."
Lionel Shriver, Orange prize-winning author of ‘We Need To Talk About Kevin’
“A singer who refuses to be boxed in by convention.”
Clive Davis, The Sunday Times
"What PJ Harvey achieved in rock and what Bjork did to dance music Christine Tobin could do to jazz - for the music's benefit."
The Guardian
